PHP Login script tutorial..

Overview
In this tutorial create 3 files
1. main_login.php
2. checklogin.php
3. login_success.php

Step
1. Create table "members" in database "test".
2. Create file main_login.php.
3. Create file checklogin.php.
4. Create file login_success.php.
5. Create file logout.php

1. Create table "members"
CREATE TABLE `members` (
`id` int(4) NOT NULL auto_increment,
`username` varchar(65) NOT NULL default '',
`password` varchar(65) NOT NULL default '',
PRIMARY KEY (`id`)
) TYPE=MyISAM AUTO_INCREMENT=2 ;

-- Dumping data for table `members`
--
INSERT INTO `members` VALUES (1, 'jasim', '1234');

2. Create file main_login.php


Member Login
Username :
Password :

3. Create file checklogin.php

$mypassword = mysql_real_escape_string($mypassword);

$result=mysql_query($sql);
// Mysql_num_row is counting table row
$count=mysql_num_rows($result);
// If result matched $myusername and $mypassword, table row must be 1 row

4.Create file login_success.php

// Check if session is not registered , redirect back to main page.
// Put this code in first line of web page.

Login Successful

5. Logout.php
If you want to logout, create this file

// Put this code in first line of web page.
session_start();
session_destroy();
?>
